Fw 190 Defence of the Reich Aces

The Focke-Wulf Fw 190, designed by Kurt Tank, was the new German fighter that had to replace the veteran Messerschmitt Bf-109 in 1941, that by the way kept in service till end of war . After some improvements in later versions it becames one of the best fighters of the war, surpassing the legendary Spitfire...It could carry a wide range of weapons depending the roles of their missions as a  fighter, fighter-bomber or ground attack...
